I occasionally have days where I just don’t feel like myself, and I strongly dislike not feeling my best!
But the thing is, nobody feels 100% every single day. NOBODY! It’s more about understanding your body, knowing what it needs, and having the tools to get back on track and feeling good. Life is more enjoyable when we feel good because we tend to have more energy and be more productive then!
So, here’s what I try to include in my daily routine to ensure more good days than bad:⠀
#1 Exercise & Get Outside
It doesn’t have to be anything extreme, but moving your body and getting fresh air for even 20 minutes can make a huge difference in your energy level and digestive track. You will also notice improved mood, increased quality of sleep, decreased level of stress, and an increase in attention and memory! Talk about countless perks in a short amount of time.
#2 A Protein Shake
Getting enough protein allows your body to grow properly, build muscle, and repair tissue, among many other critical functions. Maintaining healthy, toned muscles will contribute to preserving strength, agility, energy, and coordination. ⠀
Without protein, you can’t keep or build muscle. It contains amino acids, which are your body’s building blocks. As you age, maintaining healthy, toned muscles will contribute to preserving your strength, agility, energy, and coordination—so you can continue to live life to the fullest.
I love adding one protein shake a day in my diet! You can mix up the flavors and what you add! There are so many fun recipes out there! Just make sure you are purchasing a high-quality and clean powder!
#3 Fiber Supplement
Fiber! Yes, Fiber! Gut health is HUGE! Every evening I chug down a serving of it before dinner or bed!
On a daily basis, 95% of Americans are only getting about half as much fiber as they need. Fiber is a component of plant foods that is never broken down and absorbed by the body—allowing it to perform important functions that no other food can. There are two forms of fiber, soluble and insoluble, and they both play an important role in maintaining optimal health.
Ideally, most of your daily fiber intake should come from your diet, but a high-quality fiber supplement is most likely needed to fill in your intake gaps! Your fiber supplement should also include soothing herbs, antioxidants, and probiotics.
Consuming the recommended daily fiber promotes digestive health, can promote weight loss, and will help sweep away toxins and waste! Having a healthy gut supports your immune system and of course, improves your regularity in the bathroom department!
#4 High Quality Vitamins
Taking my vitamins can be the deal breaker for my days! Seriously, my energy level is drastically different on the days I remember to take them!
Vitamins and minerals fill in the nutritional gaps in our diet. Again, the recommended form of nutrient consumption is through whole foods, but even if we eat clean and get in all of the recommended servings of fruit and green leafy vegetables, our soil today doesn’t provide the same amount of nutrients it once did.
In addition to my Multi-Vitamin, I also take a daily Probiotic, Fish Oil, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12. Make sure your vitamins are high-quality with zero synthetics and fillers! A proven high absorption rate is a plus too!
As a busy mom of 3, my health and energy level is vital! When I’m not feeling well or my energy is low, it’s usually because I haven’t incorporated one or all of these steps in my daily routine!
It's not about being perfect, it's about having the tools to help you strive to be at your best!!!
Are you interested in finding reputable brands for the products mentioned above? I’ve been purchasing specific brands since becoming a mom and absolutely love them! Not only are they all high-quality, but affordable!
