My husband and I never had a birth plan, and we had no idea what to expect as first time parents! We decided to look for a doula to help us with all these items, we were recommended to How 2 Mom by a friend and after my first conversation with Stephanie and then with our doula, Sam, we knew we had found a special connection. We had lots of wrenches thrown at us the last few weeks of pregnancy Sam was there through all of it, and she was the best to talk through things when we weren’t sure what to do! Our baby was born during the covid pandemic and we are thankful that we had the How 2 Mom team to help us through some of these challenges. I ended up having a planned C-section and I am so thankful we had Sam there through that experience. She was a sounding board and an advocate for us. She was able to come into the operation room and be with me while my husband was with the baby on the other side of the room. It was nice to have someone I knew cared for my wellbeing right next to me.
