At our first prenatal visit, Stephanie asked us what we wanted out of the birth.
I told her, I wanted to have an informed birth and to leave with as little trauma as possible. After a year of trying and 4 miscarriages, Stephanie was the nurturing confidence we needed to get through the uncertainty of the pregnancy. Once at the hospital, Stephanie stayed by our side for what was almost a 24-hour labor. Every single contraction I had she was right there, guiding me through. She walked us through every stage of labor, equipping us with all the tools we needed to feel confident we were on the right path. Even after 4 hours of pushing and almost giving up, Stephanie was the one to keep me focused on my goal.
If it weren't for Stephanie's calm, confident, knowledgeable, and positive presence, we knew Tate's delivery would have turned out much scarier.
Now, almost 6 months later, my husband and I look back fondly of our time with Stephanie. It was the best decision we’ve made thus far and encourage all of our friends to seek out a doula, but especially Stephanie.
