A-DOULA OBLONGATA!!!
Seriously folks, use your brain and hire Stephanie Sinclair!!! I’m a pretty scientifically minded guy, and lean away from the natural/hippie side of things, but I was blown away by Stephanie’s professionalism and support, even through this COVID crisis. My wife and I just delivered at Woodwinds Hospital with a midwife and Stephanie over video conferencing 4-18-2020. She kept my wife focused and more importantly relaxed, something I surely don’t have the experience to do. If you are thinking, “Why hire a doula if she can’t be there?”, it is actually quite the opposite. With the COVID restrictions for one guest in the room, having Stephanie available over video was a godsend (a desirable or needed thing or event that comes unexpectedly). I’m happy to say my wife made it through the delivery with no epidural/nitrous/pain medication of any kind. It was a wonderful experience to watch her deliver the baby naturally, and she had a glow throughout that I have never seen before.
