Andrea Luna, Photographer

My name is Andrea Luna. I am from South Minneapolis but currently live in Roseville with my family. I am married with two children. I married my husband in 2010 and we have a creative, kind, and beautiful daughter, Carmen. We also have a funny, ambitious and smart little boy named Christopher.

The day I had my daughter there was a wonderful nurse that grabbed my camera as the “magic” was happening and she took a few photos. I was so grateful. She only took about 10 pictures but I cherish them to this day. Fast forward to my son’s birth and I was not so lucky. I ended up with two selfie style pictures that my husband snapped. I was heartbroken. I am still sad and mad at myself for not planning anything in regards to photos.

In those moments we go through a rollercoaster of emotions, physical changes and of course the most intense, amazing and precious event in our lives. And when it’s all happening, us moms are a little too busy to make sure our partner is taking photos of all the beautiful chaos.

Little by little, day by day, the memories of that time fades and I often hear (and say myself), “I don’t even remember what my baby looked like right after he/she was born”.

Photos have a certain magic to them that sparks our memories to a point where we can almost feel like we are right back in that moment. That first time we feel our baby’s skin touching ours, the pure joy and relief we feel after all the work our bodes have done, and the raw emotions of it all!

There are endless reasons to want photos from the birth of your baby. Maybe a family member couldn’t be there. Maybe your baby is not a baby anymore and you want to show them their first minutes of being alive. Or maybe you want to just go back and revisit one of the most beautiful moments in your life.

When I am there, I will put myself in your shoes. I will make sure that you’ll have many memories to hold onto forever. I will give you photos that you can look back on and remember how incredible you are. And most importantly, the life you have created!
