With Christmas right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to sit down with the kids and create some holiday arts and crafts! Here are the three fun and simple creations we made this year! These would make for great decorations around the house or a sweet gift for the grandparents or teachers!
Paper Plate Christmas Tree
This one was probably my favorite out of the three because it allowed for the most creativity! You can seriously use pretty much anything you have around the house! We opted for the markers vs paint because of the two-year-olds! What’s great is you can’t screw this one up; it takes very little skill on the parent’s behalf! We just strung the “lights” (ribbon) through the hole punches before gluing the pieces together.
What you will need:
- Paper Plates
- Green Paint or Green Markers
- Paint Brush
- Pom Poms
- Christmas Ribbon
- Stickers
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
- Tape
- Stapler
- Cardstock-brown & white
- Glue
Clothes Pin Snowman
This one was a little bit trickier and some of the steps require a little more precision! It doesn’t require much material which is nice, but probably a good project for the older kids!
What you will need:
- Clothes Pins
- Paint
- Paint Brush
- Ribbon or Yarn
Snowflake Ornaments
This was another fun one that allows for lots of creativity and is impossible to mess up! The only reason we didn’t involve the twins is because it was nap time! You just want to make sure to let the sticks dry before gluing them together!
What you will need:
- Popsicle Sticks
- Paint
- Paint Brush
- String
- Pom Poms, Buttons, Glitter
- Glue
