DelMonico Dance 2021-2022 Season Recap

WOW....what a fun and successful 2021-2022 Dance Season!

The kids had another wonderful year of dance at the fantastic studio, DelMonico Dance in Lakeland, MN. This year was a little bit different though because the Sinclairs, specifically McKenzie joined the Pre-Comp team and competed in dance competitions!

Competition Dance

This studio not only offers Recreational class options, but also Pre-Company and Company class options. Pre-Company and Company may demand more of a commitment for both practices and performances, but it also brought another level of fun and seriousness for McKenzie! As a mom, I was also excited about the fact that we got more use out of the costumes! McKenzie performed in two local competitions during the season, which was so fun and very manageable.

Recital

Recital weekend is always so much fun! As parents, we get to see all the hard work from the season come to life and pay off! This years theme was Oops…we did it again! And boy, did they! It was such a fun show with so much talent! All three of the kids had two dances each, and did such a great job!

Nationals

To end the season, we traveled to Wisconsin Dells for McKenzie’s National Competition! It was a fun excuse for a family vacation, but it was also so cool to see the girls perfect their performances and earn 1st and 2nd place! That’s the thing about Pre-Company and Company, the groups get to continue to work on their numbers and do better each time they perform!

All of this is so much more than dance for us! Yes, my kids love it, and they are good at it, but this year, specifically McKenzie learned all about commitment, dedication, perseverance, and gained a whole lot of confidence! McKenzie was the youngest and the smallest in her group, but that didn’t stop her! She shined on stage and the way her teachers encourage and love her while teaching, means more to me than I can express.

I mean it when I say that DelMonico Dance is the BEST studio around! The culture and family Kim DelMonico, Bella Amerigo, and Kelsey have created and implement everyday does not go unnoticed or under appreciated!
