What are you thankful for this year? I’m a big believer that we should practice thankfulness all year long, not just during the holiday season but sometimes that can be difficult during the hustle and bustle of life. My hope is that with these 5 tips for practicing thankfulness, you will not only focus on your blessings during this holiday season, but continue to practice these easy tips throughout the year.
How to Create Thankfulness...
Stop and Take It All In
I first received this advice when planning our wedding. The days go by so quickly and unless we take a moment to stop, look around, and take it all in, we may not have any memory of it at all. When we take the time to look around at our blessings, we tend to live more intentionally.
Tell the People who you are Thankful for
This may seem obvious, but it actually can be quite difficult for some. Tell the people you love that you are thankful for them. I promise you will never regret it.
Find Thankfulness for Yourself
We often are the hardest on ourselves, and put ourselves on the bottom of the priority list. Let’s not do that anymore.
Be Thankful for the Things we take for Granted
Take time to think about the little things, because without them, we can’t have the big things. Be grateful and give the little things the love and respect they deserve.
Start your Day with Thankfulness
Take time in the morning before doing anything else to think about all you are grateful for. You will start your day on a positive note and that can have a lasting affect on the rest of your day.
