We want to help you get from surviving to truly thriving. We work with women through their whole pregnancies to help with any aches and pains that come along the way and we have a unique birth preparation series to prepare your pelvis and core for labor and delivery. Our postpartum rehab sessions will help you get active again, whatever that means to you. Our goal is that you are stronger in postpartum than you were before getting pregnant. After all, taking care of a growing baby takes a lot of strength!
Hi, I’m Michelle Wall, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Pelvic Floor Specialist. I am a busy mom of 2 and rely on working out as part of my mental health. Postpartum can be a tough time for me because I know that rest is good for my physical body but movement is good for my mind. I experienced pelvic organ prolapse and feelings of heaviness after my second vaginal delivery (at about 7 weeks postpartum). Giving up intense workouts was simply not an option, so I focused my workouts around rehabbing my core and pelvic floor at that time. Now I don’t have any symptoms of heaviness or pressure, and I lift heavy weights daily! I run and do HIIT workouts without any symptoms as well. So I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to settle for whatever symptoms you may be experiencing!
I am passionate about helping women get healthy and especially get strong. This all starts at the core. We have helped hundreds of women decrease pain during pregnancy, prepare their bodies for labor and delivery, and eliminate symptoms postpartum.
We treat the whole body, not just the pelvis, but here is a list of common reasons people work with us:
- Pelvic organ prolapse (heaviness, pressure, tampon falling out feeling)
- Urinary frequency and/or urgency (overactive bladder)
- Scar tissue from cesarean births
- Abdominal/groin pain
- Tailbone pain
- Painful intercourse
- Pubic symphysis pain
- Low back/SI joint/hip pain
- Constipation
- Fecal (or gas) incontinence
- Diastasis Recti (ab separation)
- Other pregnancy or postpartum related issues
