Remember last week when we talked about ways to feel our best? Remember when I also said that I have days were I don’t feel great, even when I follow all those steps? I spend a lot of my days at home with my kids, on very little sleep, and sometimes it feels like groundhogs day. I wake up, change butts, break up fights, clean the house, cook, clean, do the dishes, repeat.
Today I am going to share the things I do when I’m having a bad day! I truly believe we do have the power to change our moods, and to turn a bad day into a good one!
Tip # 1: Get Ready for the Day!
Even if that consists of comfy clothes and dry shampoo. Feeling human helps with our mood and productivity. This can be a huge factor for SAHM. We are constantly waiting on others so we tend to forget to put ourselves together, and then loose ourselves in the process. I am all about being comfortable and throwing your hair up, but you may be surprised with what a little bit of care can do for your mood and self-love
Tip #2: Hydrate & Fuel
Give yourself a boost of energy and confidence to take on the day with lemon water and your favorite cup of coffee! You deserve it. Give yourself at least 5 minutes an hour to give your body some love! It will thank you back!
Tip #3: Diffuse an Uplifting Essential Oil Blend
Wake up your senses and get energized by diffusing an uplifting oil blend! It’s amazing to see the difference in my protective once I have this blend in the air. I always have this oil out when I need to clean the house! Check out our shop page to purchase the blend today!
Tip #4: Take your Vitamins and Increase your Vitamin D
We talked about this and the importance of high-quality vitamins in our last blog. Click here to check that out! On my bad days I ask myself if I’ve taken my vitamins, and usually the answer is NO. It is NOT a coincidence!
Tip #5: Send your Partner an Encouraging Love Note
Believe it or not, uplifting someone else can help YOU feel better! Parenting is hard, and sometimes can create tension between you and your significant other. Try to remember all of the reasons why you picked each other and why you two started this parenthood journey together. Lend an encouraging word and bring it back to how it first started. It can be a game changer and uplift both of your moods!
Again, we all have bad days, but we CAN get ourselves out of it! Try to not waste your days being in a bad mood or a funk! Give these tips a try and let me know if they help!
