Some may think I’m ridiculous, I know there were moments when my husband did, but ten years of marriage is something to celebrate! Especially with three kids, and twins to top it off! Not only did I LOVE our wedding, but every year on our anniversary we watch our wedding video and the kids always ask where they were! So with that in mind, and because we deserved to celebrate, we decided to host a big party and renew our vows, with our kids. We wanted to show them what dedication and real, true love looks like.
Our marriage is not perfect, and often not easy, but that is marriage. Our vows were a little different this time around, but they now have an even deeper meaning and we said them this time as a family. My heart has never felt so complete! That day was so special!
Planning
With the help of a few dear friends, and How 2 Mom client, Kassie Weld, the ceremony and party went off without a hitch! I’ve always loved throwing a party and I had some fun ideas about what I wanted our vow renewal to look like, but it was Kassie who heard my vision and then brought it to life! I am so grateful for her years of experience with event planning, her attention to detail, and ability to take the stress off of the host! Thank you so much, Kassie!
The Details
Our friend, Jaime from Jaime Hendrix Photography took all these amazing photos! My girlfriend, Lindsey helped me dream up the vision and then Kassie and I set up the ceremony area in our front yard and we used our leftover ceremony program fans from our wedding! But my favorite details were the DIY ones, this pallet with all the important dates from our life together and the photo wall of pictures from the last 15 years together!
Sponsors
A huge thank you to our sponsors, especially Alpha-Lit Marquee Letters who took our party to the next level with the Letter Lights! The B&S <3 stole the show, especially after the sun went down when they reflected off the pool! And thank you to our friend Carrie the Moment for the best connections!
Renewing Vows
Brian has stood by me for 15 years now. He has always loved and accepted me for exactly who I am. He has supported me as a mom and has always believed in my dreams for How 2 Mom, all while providing and leading our family. He is a good man, the best man, and has taught me so much through the years like keeping our relationship first. HE is why we celebrated 10 years and I am more in love with him today than I was even when we said “I do”!
Celebrating
After the ceremony and sending the kids to the sitter’s, we had a BLAST! We were surrounded by family, family friends, old friends, and new friends! Thank you to everyone who wished us a Happy Anniversary and for those who were able to celebrate with us! And especially to those who made it possible!
