Why Go Green?

We're so happy you're here!

With Earth Day approaching we thought it was the perfect time to talk about living a “green” life and how doing so can be a game changer in your family’s overall health. Also, with the current Corona Virus Pandemic, your well-being and immunity health is even more valuable than ever before. Below you’ll find some of our top tips and tricks to elevate your life to a clean and green level! We are sure that if you implement even a few of these, you will feel a monumental positive difference in your health.

What does it mean to "Go Green"?

“Going Green” means to pursue practices with everyday items and activities that can lead to more environmentally-friendly and responsible lifestyle decisions.

Environmentally-Friendly aka Eco-Friendly aka Nature-Friendly aka Earth Friendly all mean it’s not harmful to our earth!

Why "Go Green"? What are the Benefits?

First, using eco-friendly products help avoid possible chemical side effects caused by your household and/or personal care products. Certain brands and products have been known to cause issues including but not limited to skin allergies, illnesses and respiratory issues, infertility, birth defects, cancer and learning disabilities. It only takes 26 seconds for chemicals to enter your bloodstream and affect your health.

Choosing to “Go Green” can also help Mother Nature in many ways! Some examples include decreasing pollution and waste, reducing climate change, and conserving nature for our children’s future!

This benefit may shock you but purchasing eco-friendly products can actually save you money! Reputable eco-friendly brands use high-quality and concentrated liquids. Meaning the product itself will last a lot longer and will go a lot further. The price point may seem higher up front, but they provide savings overtime.

Lastly and I would argue most importantly, choosing to Go Green WILL improve your health and your family’s health overall. Over exposing our body to chemicals like bleach not only attack our bad cells, but also our good cells which have a big impact on the strength of our immune system.

How to "Go Green"?

First, I suggest detoxifying your home. Toss out all of your household and personal care products that contain chemicals like ammonia and formaldehyde which are directly linked to the conditions mentioned above. The chemicals that are found in most household and personal care products can be extremely harmful and potentially deadly if children get their hands on them.

Next, find an affordable brand that you can trust to purchase your household and personal care products. Being affordable is key in order to sustain a real lifestyle change while keeping your family’s budget in mind.

Once you’ve detoxified your home and found a trusted brand or store, start shopping! You can simply redirect your regular spending to that safer, and usually more convenient store!

If you need help finding a store or brands that meet these requirements, please feel free to send me an email and I’d be happy to discuss all the information and knowledge I have gained over the years.

Lastly, here are some ways you can help protect our environment:

1. Recycle
2. Decrease water use
3. Decrease Energy use
4. Decrease Gas use
5. Eat Smart, Meal Prep, Decrease Waste
6. Reusable Water Bottles
7. Borrow instead of Buy
8. Reusable Bags for Grocery Shopping
9. Decrease paper product use
